I was teaching students about systems the other week. We were sitting on the boardwalk entering Hawk Woods when suddenly a coyote ran down the prairie hill. Ten minutes later we spooked five deer in the thicket near the same spot. Throughout the morning we also watched two mice scamper amongst the fallen leaves and trees. I heard the students excitedly telling other classmates when they returned back to the main building. I love it when students get excited about seeing new things.
