Nature & Art from the Northwoods

This week I've toodled through the conifers of the North Woods and wanted others to experience the joy of my nature finds (less the gas).

First Stop: The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, Wausau, Wi
The current exhibit showcases paintings and sculptures from brilliant artists- ALL of the works featuring birds!
Sculptures nestled in the curves of the garden are nearly all animals and were created from metal, wood or paper.  It is fascinating to relate the art to the birds in everyday life and wonder what was going through the artist's mind when depicting them.

Enjoy the inspiration,
